What is a Cookie?

What do temporary and permanent cookies mean?

There are different types of cookies. A permanent cookie remains on the visitor’s device for a certain period of time, while a session cookie is temporarily stored on the device’s memory while a visitor is on the website.

What are third-party cookies?

Cookies that are used, for example, to collect information for advertising and tailored content as well as for web statistics can be so-called third-party cookies. This type of cookie comes from someone other than the person responsible for the website, e.g. an advertising company.

InvitePeople does not use third-party cookies when you register for or participate in events. We only set necessary cookies that are essential for the platform to function properly—for example, to manage logins, orders, or language preferences. These cookies are not used for marketing or analytics purposes, and no information collected through them is shared with any third parties.

Please note that the organizer of the event may choose to set their own cookies—for example, through embedded content or integrations. The ID in the cookie name refers to the unique identifier of that policy. This ensures the user’s choice—whether accepting all cookies or only necessary ones—is remembered on future visits.
